"From Opera to Swing - Music from Europe to America" in Genoa
Genoa. There are places that safeguard beauty and others that, when they meet music, seem to come alive. This is exactly what will happen in the halls of Palazzo Reale, at via Balbi 10, with the event "Summer Evenings 2026 - A world of music... music from the world". The event is organized in collaboration with the Musicamica Association, offering the chance to experience the enchantment of a place where history, art, and musical notes dialogue without borders.

Organized under the artistic direction of musician Giovanna Savino, the festival continues to offer a high-level musical journey, building a bridge between different cultures, traditions, and artistic sensibilities. This philosophy has guided the work of the Musicamica Association for years. This non-profit cultural organization based in Genoa promotes the spread of music through concerts, projects dedicated to young talents, and initiatives capable of enhancing the artistic and human heritage of the territory.

Each event begins at 7:30 PM with a guided tour of the palace, a precious opportunity to be fascinated by the monumental rooms of the historic residence before the musical notes begin to tell a new story. The next concert is scheduled for Thursday, July 23, starting at 8:45 PM and is titled "From Opera to Swing - Music from Europe to America".

The protagonists will be two performers of absolute prestige: Andrea Bacchetti, an internationally renowned pianist unanimously recognized among the most authoritative interpreters of Johann Sebastian Bach's repertoire, and Giampiero Sobrino, principal clarinet of the Arena di Verona Foundation Symphony Orchestra.

It will be an elegant and surprising musical itinerary that will accompany the audience from the great pages of the European tradition to the light and engaging sounds of American swing. A refined dialogue between piano and clarinet where virtuosity, elegance, and spontaneity meet, thanks to two artists who have built their careers on the most important Italian and international stages.
