Avellino: A Surprise Concert
by Stravinsky
February 17th, 2026
On Sunday, February 22, at 5:15 PM, the Hall of the Arts at Via Provinciale 89 (100 meters from
Progress) will host a prestigious event for the "In Love with Music" season, organized by the Igor Stravinsky
Association.
The concert will feature Genoese pianist Andrea Bacchetti, an internationally renowned artist who, throughout his career, has
inherited the legacy and guidance of masters such as Herbert von Karajan, Nikita Magaloff, Luciano Berio, Mieczyslaw Horszowski,
and Francesco Siciliani.
An Early Talent Who Became a Global Star
Bacchetti debuted at just eleven years old at Milan's Sala Verdi with I Solisti Veneti, conducted by Claudio Scimone. Since then, his journey has taken him to the world's major international festivals: Lucerne, Salzburg, Belgrade, Santander, Toulouse, Lugano, Sapporo, Brescia and Bergamo, Bologna, Rome, Milan (MITO), La Coruņa (Mozart Festival), Pesaro, Cervo, Bellinzona, Ravenna, Ravello, Santiago de Compostela, Warsaw, and Paris."Carte Blanche": A Blind Program
For the February 22 concert, Bacchetti will present a program with the evocative title: "Carte Blanche". A "blind" recital with no repertoire announced in advance, entrusted entirely to the performer's sensitivity and inspiration. This choice creates anticipation, inviting the audience to be guided, note by note, through an unpredictable musical journey. Before the Concert: "The per te" with Luca Abete
The recital will be preceded by the traditional "The per te" (Tea for You) segment, which this time will feature guest of honor Luca Abete. Originally from Avellino, Abete is a well-known face of Canale 5's satirical news program "Striscia la notizia" (The Slither of News) where he has served as a correspondent for 21 years.Music, Dialogue, and Sharing
At the conclusion of the concert, the "The per te" will involve the audience of "In Love with Music", who have followed the Stravinsky season with passion for thirty years. A simple yet precious moment: a steaming cup of tea, direct dialogue with the artists, and the opportunity to share emotions and reflections.
