The Ricci Foundation. Historic Residence & Cultural Center hosts an exceptionally prestigious event featuring
Andrea Bacchetti, one of the most authoritative Italian piani- sts on the international scene. The concert will take place
on Saturday, August 1st at 9:00 PM at the Foundation's head- quarters, Villa Caproni in Bar- ga, and will be entirely
dedica- ted to J.S. Bach, with the per- formance of the complete first book of The Well-Tempered Clavier, one
of the highest and most representative works in the entire history of music. Composed of twenty-four Pre- ludes and Fugues
in different keys, The Well-Tempered Clavier constitutes an authentic monument of Western musical thought, a perfect
synthesis of compositional rigor, invention, and expressive depth.
A masterpiece that continues, even today, to represent one of the most challenging and fasci- nating interpretative tests
for any pianist.
Andrea Bacchetti is universally recognized as one of the most sensitive interpreters of Bach's repertoire.
Born in Genoa in 1977, he showed his talent early on, debuting at just eleven years old with I Solisti Veneti con- ducted by Claudio Scimone.
During his training, he had the privilege of receiving advice and encouragement from extraordinary personalities such as Herbert von Karajan, Nikita Magaloff, Luciano Berio, and Mieczyslaw Horszowski, figures who contributed decisively to his artistic growth. His intense concert activity has led him to perform in the most prestigious concert halls and major international festivals, collaborating with important orchestras and conductors.
